Former Olympian McKayla Maroney was an American gymnast who bagged several gold medals in her professional athletic career. Among her awards, the one that made her famous wasn’t her gold medal but a silver one. Because she only got second place in the 2012 Olympics, she was photographed looking unimpressed, producing a viral meme. Maroney thought that the meme photograph was fun.
