Tristin Chipman & Emily Saliers

Back in 2013,one of the most memorable events in the life of American folk-rock duo Indigo Girls occurred: going on a tour as a newlywed. It was a Saturday night when Emily Saliers,one-half of the Indigo Girls, tied the knot with Tristin Chapman after being with each other for a decade.

The Indigo Girls hail from Atlanta,Georgia, and are made up of Amy Ray and Emily Saliers who knew each other during elementary school. The duo released their first full-record album,Strange Fire, back in 1997,and landed a major deal a year later. Apart from her involvement with Indigo Girls,Chipman had also worked on a few solo albums and started a non-profit that aims to boost independent artists. Saliers,on the other hand, made a few investments in the food industry and is a well-known writer.
